From holding a texta on a piece of paper, pierced in the center of my old plastic record player, and watching the swirl of color and life in my hands, I became drawn and curious to this language of art.
I soon discovered the power of art in transporting me to a place of mindful freedom and safe expression.
Carefully drawing birds from the Readers Digest Bird book, or weaving wool through interesting sticks found in the garden, my Recovery expression birthed into what I was later to discover was to be my valve for all expression post trauma. Expression that was safe, sometimes unknown, explored, peaceful, and a friend.
Completing a BA in Applied Art, I told my story in my own hands. Preempting my disclosure of trauma and recovery though sculptures that guided me to recovery. Did I know they were me at the time? No. The secret subtle power of art began its conversation of healing.
Today I love to reflect on myself as a woman, and other people, in moments of life that I simply, at the time, find interestingly fascinating.
Naked and bare, we are all beautiful in our creation and purpose, and my paintings celebrate the importance of moments for us all.
All pieces are individually crafted and priced on application via email.
Be Blessed in every moment.
